Gun Huei Shin is a seasoned legal professional who completed her law degree at the University of Tasmania in 2007 and obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2008. She was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in August 2009.

Gun Huei Shin’s practice is predominantly focused on civil litigation, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters. Her extensive experience spans a wide array of legal areas, including contractual, commercial disputes, company & shareholder disputes, property disputes, construction disputes, employment disputes, family disputes, tortious claims (including defamation and accident matters), compulsory land acquisition, execution proceedings and an array of non-contentious proceedings.

In addition to traditional litigation, she provides expert advice on mediation and negotiation, always striving to meet her clients’ needs and preserve their best interests with minimal business impact. She explores all possible modes of alternative dispute resolution, advising clients on the most suitable recourse for their matters.

Actively involved in the Johore Bar Committee since the inception of her practice, Gun Huei Shin has been elected as the Chairperson for several Sub-committees for the terms 2015/2016 and 2016/2017, showcasing her leadership and dedication to the legal community.
